Sports Radio and morning Radio are cesspools of bigotry

 

I grew up being surrounded by New York fans but when I moved down here to SoFlo I met a ton of Philly fans and I can't fucking stand most of them hahah.

 

The emotional attachment can feel brutal, which is also probably why you have a negative bias considering your friend shows no attachment

What I don't like is that a lot of people assume I care about sports simply because I'm a male. I'd honestly be more engaged if someone starting talking to me about fashion. I've had so many encounters where people will be like, "so you ready for the game!?" Like wtf? No. What game. I remember one time in particular this guy at the grocery store started yapping about sports and all the players and all this stuff I didn't understand and then he asked my opinion and I was like, "I know nothing about sports." I've honestly had people be offended by that and as a kid was jokingly accused of being gay because I wasn't a sports fan.

I'm waking up from Benadryl induced nap so this may make no sense but fans are 100% part of any sports team and are allowed to refer to themselves as such in first person pronouns. pretty well documented the importance of fans in sports. Even in solo sports such as tennis or golf.

I'm on the internet all the time and I'm still late on most memes. Some I don't even understand.

 

I refuse to acknowledge them as a sport but like twitch channels and YouTube live streams are a thing that millions watch so I assume point stands.

 

I want to throat punch everyone who says cheerleading isn't a sport. I love watching those competitions on ESPN. They do gymnastics and shit while screaming cheering stuff.

 

Apparently there's talk of adding them to the olympics haha. I mean, it's definitely a skill so, who am I to say it shouldn't be added? But it's definitely an interesting proposition.
