I missed all of the math talk, but I have a feeling you guys are way smarter than me. I've never been to college, but senior year of high school, my math class was called Discrete(discreet?) Math. We met in a classroom under the stairs and it was the lowest level math class above special education. Halfway through the year, the teacher just gave up and wrote our homework on the board every day, she would answer questions if we came to her, but she couldn't handle us, so she just sat at her desk. The whole time.

Discrete math was one of my favorite classes for the first half, then it got hard AF. It was discrete math for engineers. Ugh.

 

Math gets a weird stigma and I don't understand it. I've never gone beyond statistics, cause I'm an English major, but I really don't like that ever since one is a child, math is presented in a negative light. I could be wrong, but I think a lot more kids would understand and even like math if we didn't instantly say, "math is hard." Then they go into it already at a disadvantage. Now, obviously, math is harder to some people than it is to others, but I think it gets a bad rap.

It was more like the last two months, not halfway through. But yeah. The class was basically where they put all of the class clowns who just needed to pass the class to graduate. We were a bunch of turds, so I don't blame her.

 

I don't know how I can add another fast moving thread to my game and try and keep up but.... here's to trying.
