Are you saying that ignoring Zeke until later rounds is the right thing?
I always tend to jump around on D/ST and won't draft until the very end.
Deandre Hopkins always does well when I don't draft him and not so great when I do. Ugh.

Hopkins will be great this season (Savage has good repertoire with Hopkins, and Fuller isn't taking away catches for a while) but he might be someone you have to rest week 1, so when looking at depth WRs getting someone with a good week 1 matchup may be a good idea.

Ignoring Zeke entirely might be the best thing honestly, unless you can get him in a trade near the end of his suspension or get him in the 3rd/4th rounds. But he'll likely go in the 1st or 2nd round still.

Also last random unprompted tip I promise: Be very very very conscious of the bye weeks of players you're drafting. I like to make sure my WR1+2 and RB1+2 all have different bye weeks than each other so there's not too many weeks where you've got everyone good on the bench.

 

Have you ever tried to sacrifice one specific week just to ensure domination the rest of the season?

 

I've thought about it but haven't executed it. It might work, I feel like injuries could throw a wrench into that but they really do with any plan anyway. Might be worth a shot!

By the looks of the schedule, the most painful bye weeks will be weeks 8, 9, and 11. Julio Jones has a week 5 bye so if you can grab him, it'd already be a good start. Brown/Bell have week 9, and Beckham has week 8. I'm thinking more and more that Julio is the right call, it opens up who you can fill the roster out with so much more.

I'm decent at fantasy but I could be a lot better, especially when it comes to unique rule sets. Now that I have GamePass and am actually watching every game, I could probably do a ranking next season.

 

You seem to be very, very knowledgeable. Then again, I know less than Jon Snow.

 

premier league fantasy is the only fantasy i play. the salary cap is brutal.

 

I know well on who's gonna produce good results, and am not as good at how it's going to translate to fantasy points haha. But I do know who gets the most looks as far as the passing game goes, and who to rely on to get lots of catches which is good for PPR.

For example, a good rule of thumb for depth players at RB and TE is to look at teams with young QBs. Younger QBs are too afraid to take difficult shots (Deshone Kizer will be an exception to this) so they'll rely on checkdowns more often than let's say, Jay Cutler or Russell Wilson. Therefore they have a higher chance of passing to their starting TE/starting RB. There are also veteran QBs this applies to (Tom Savage, Alex Smith, Trevor Siemian). So guys like CJ Fiedorowicz may be a good TE2 option, or guys like CJ Anderson as a depth RB.

 

This makes a lot of sense.

So I think my strategy is for Johnson at #2... if not him, then Julio. I guess if I get a WR or RB, then I get the other? Since it's PPR, I feel inclined to get two WR before two RB. Trying to figure out my moves here.. but it's so hard, who knows how people will draft before the time comes.
