I feel like Mat Kerekes could be the Andrew McMahon of that whole Run for Cover scene, his solo record is really good, I like it more than any Citizen record

 

I didn't listen to scene music from like 03-06. When the reunion happened I listened to "Best Places to be a Mom" (which is a career high jam) and picked up the album, then went back and listened to everything they'd done since TAYF

 

Damn. Same here. I liked their first album a lot but haven't listened since.

 

RT, don't like Citizen at all but a solo track or two of his came up on Spotify and I fell in love with that record

I suspect it may be due to the lack of a true mid-range option in my area, it's either a 1-2,000 cap venue that usually hosts stand up... or a 17,000 seater.

After seeing Brand New sell out a 7000 person amphitheatre with over 3000 people standing outside the fence listening last summer, i've discovered i have zero idea how big venues actually are and how which bands can decide which venue to play based on their popularity

If you want an IPA, I know that Founders just put out Mosaic Promise in cans. They also have their PC Pils in cans, which is probably my favorite light pilsner style beer.
