Green Light is my least favorite off Melodrama for sure.

And for sure. Her singles are usually my least favorites off the albums anyways, I still expect the album to be good and I'm not looking much into one song. I'm sure I'll end up jamming out to it occasionally down the line too haha

 

It's literally stuck in my head on one listen. She's got a gift even with her worst Chorus in her catalogue. It's insane.

 

Green Light is fantastic tho...

Uhh the one part where Taylor sings is ok

 

I cannot put into words how much I hate Green Light. I haven't listened to it in full since my first listen through of Melodrama.

 

What in the

 

Green Light is the weakest song on the album. It's okay, but the rest of the album is just so so much better

 

Whether it is it not it's super catchy and was the right choice for first single

 

it's weird because like all my chorus friends love/like green light and all my real life friends HATE IT more than i do. it's like chorus is an echo chamber much like twitter and the election (too soon?)

 

like chase saying it's catchy? hard pass on that for me. i think it's musically interesting, but it's not catchy at all to these ears.

 

Just listened. Not really a fan..but I'm not a pop guy to begin with. Lyric video is kinda cool tho.

 

I'm not even a T Swift fan, but it is absolutely disgusting and clearly unwarranted. It's very, very obvious as an outsider.

 

did you ever give any of her albums an honest shot? specifically speak now/red/1989? just curious. i've seen you mention not liking her before, but those albums man, haha.

definitely. it's hard to not see this album cycle as a reaction for what she receives. i just hope i end up getting some great songs out of it, because her last three albums have been some of my favorite pop records and yeah. i don't want her to sacrifice the talent i know is there for a sake of a narrative. but i also 100% get it if she does it that way.

 

you're lucky this is so early in the song it's before i typically have time to react to change the radio station

 

I seriously sat down with 1989 and I still don't like it. It's not just her, it's most pop for me. It always feels like I'm listening to a kidZ pop album lol.

But for real, humble reminder for everyone that Red is her best album and this is the best song she's ever written and I'd give anything for an album of songs like this:

Okay..if I had to listen to a Taylor album for 24 hours straight I'd probably pick Red. Give me all the flak you want, but I feel like she's fake as all hell on her newer albums.
