I agree with you on that. People are being super petty with how they're discussing it. I don't like it, but it's not because of the lyrics or the message. I think it just sounds like a Lorde b-side

 

And see like I already like it more than i liked Green Light but I also totally respect the comparison. It's there. They're friends. Good artists rub off on each other. (Don't make that dirty one of your miscreants.)

But like. Taylor has three nearly perfect pop albums in a row. She was due for a (what could end up being a minor) stumble. But her art has earned her a bit of grace up to this point and the internet being the internet has me rolling my eyes so hard.
