Happy Thursday.

 

I'm watching parks & rec for the first time... some of it absolutely kills me with humor and some of it makes me feel like: what the hell am I watching?

 

I wear hats mostly when I have to go to the store and don't want to fix my hair, or if I'm going to the lake so I can be a stereotype

Hats used to itch my head but it's better now so I guess the moisturizing hair products I'm using work

I currently have two pairs of sunglasses. One is bright green and folds down the middle to fit in my pocket and was given out at a community event. The other was given to me last weekend by a person who will not be named from their personal collection

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy it and I'm glad that I'm watching it, but the show is not without its problems.

Specifically the first season. Also, April and Andy are written poorly at times (not often, but it does happen and can be cringe-worthy). Sometimes the show tries a little too hard and it takes me out of the viewing experience. I always get sucked back in though.

It really is great, it's just not infallible.

 

Okay so apparently there is a "haunted" pub crawl happening near October so they're hosting part of it in the old jail in the basement of City Hall and are having that doofus go around to all the buildings and bars to "inspect" them to see how haunted they are.

I have no dog in this fight because I stopped watching in like S3 because I'm lazy, but the first season of Parks really shouldn't count

 

I wish that it didn't because it's so different from the rest of the show, but they did make it.

 

I've tried watching Parks and Rec so many times and I can never get through season 1, despite the fact that I have seen handful of later episodes and really enjoyed them.

 

Jump to season 2. It's worth it to get past it. There's really no value in the first couple episodes anyway.
