As a consumer, I don't give a fuck what happens to national chains. There are all sorts of ethically run independent film houses that carry the same movies in more pleasant environments for half the cost. I paid almost as much to see Dunkirk as Amazon's lowest price to preorder the Blu Ray. It's a dying system that needs to die and reinvent itself. No different than Ticketmaster/Live Nation

I'm one of those people that never complains at a movie, restaurant, etc, but last year I went to see Blair Witch while the fucking theater was redoing their sidewalks right outside the exit door. A fucking wetsaw during a movie that takes place in the middle of the woods...it's the first and only time I've ever lost my shit on a manager.

It was bad...but I've only walked out on one other film and that was Miami vice in 06. I was so incredibly pissed...the worst and most annoying part was that it seemed to not bother any of the other patrons. I wanted to scream out, "What's wrong with you people! What do you not get about the fucking wetsaw ruining our movie in the woods!"
