I really enjoyed the Matrix: Path of Neo on PS2

 

The Matrix is a textbook case in how to destroy your chances on establishing a franchise, so many bad decisions.

That first movie was so good. Then they ditched all the leather and good fight choreography.

 

I thought it was so rewarding to beat it and unlock different cheats to use. The ant stuff and sex dungeon stuff got weird though.

 

I don’t remember much about it other than I didn’t play it when my mom was around

 

The Wachowskis literally had a gold pot in their laps and they blew it with two bad sequels, questionable games, and an okay anime feature. Like the world had such promise and mystery and they ended it, for reasons I guess.

 

So what should the first sequel have been?

 

Personally? It should of been more like the original, like explaining more of this mysterious world without giving much away. By all means, go to the human base, that’s an important thing to establish for the future but don’t dwell in it long. Get rid of the Architect or at the least, mention him but make the movie about something else. Expand on the weird French guy, elaborate. Make him the main bad guy. Keep Agent Smith a whisper, leave clues but don’t reveal him until later. Maybe a movie or so later. I could go on

Haha nah, really my childhood was fine I was just tired and ready for bed.

My parents divorced when I was 3. The only thing I REALLY remember was leaving the custody hearing with my dad crying. They are with much more compatible partners now so I'm not upset by it. Grew up in a small town where I'm related to 60-70% of the population someway somehow. At 13-14 I went to live with my Mom outside Austin and the rest is history really.
