Easily my album of the year thus far. And it's a grower beyond that... I've had a different song every few weeks. And I don't know if this is going to make sense or not but that "Be cool, this boot's for you" moment in "Apocalypse Porn" is the most "A Wilhelm Scream" line/moment they've had on an album in a good while.
I agree, such a fantastic record. Care to share your other favorite records? I’m really starting to love that new Flatliners record too.
Grown to be my fave release of theirs even if I know technically speaking it’s still Career Suicide the lyrics on this album were very challenging and moving for me because a lot of them see to be about losing friends to political discourse and that’s very relatable and the solution/call to action seems to be to not let powers that be divide us as effectively as they are and that there’s no greater power than friendship on this earth damn now I’m tearing up
revisiting this one today, already sounds like an old friend. Also they’re working on a new record from songs they recorded during the LYD sessions that Trevor told me were among their shreddiest
I don’t come back to this nearly as much as Career Suicide, which is still the tops for me. Always happy to hear more material from these guys though!
Whole album was remastered and there are 2 acoustic tracks and a new track (that's possibly one of their best ever written).
Partycrasher is still my favorite of theirs, so fucking tight and technical all the way through. remaster sounds punchy and clear.
Was surprised to see this when I woke up! The master is definitely a step up, louder and the drums are much more present. Will have to do a full listen through today!
Ngl I hardly hear a difference in the remaster, but the b-side is nice and it inspired me to put on Partycrasher today
I donno if it's the remaster or just the amount of time that's passed since I last listened to this album, but I'm enjoying this SIGNIFICANTLY more than I ever have. This album rips.
I always considered this album to be near the bottom of their discography but after listening to this I think it’s near the top. These songs sound amazing.
Glad I'm not the only one. Just feels brighter, fresher this time around. Closer to the metallic muscle of Career Suicide. Either that or the placebo effect worked big time. 10 years late to the party, but at least I made it!
I didn’t really hear much difference until I got to Born A Wise Man. Vocals there are definitely different. Acoustic demos are filthy and I love it
if anyone is looking for a copy of Lose Your Delusion, they have a buncha second pressing variants here at their label A Wilhelm Scream – creatordestructor
