production isn’t great tbh. lead guitar is very buried in the mix. but isn’t a huge deal

I don’t think it sounds great but it doesn’t sound bad enough to my ears to really pay any attention to it either

They're 3/3 with these pre-release tracks! And this is maybe the catchiest one thus far?

One random thought I had listening to this one: Trevor had been talking recently about listening to and soundchecking Gob songs quite a bit recently. And I can hear some Gob in a few of the guitar leads and when Trev sings "I got tunnel vision."

Not the influence I would have expected to see creep in but... It works. Haha.

This is going to be a good way to start off a shit year. The songs they've released so far are great.

Album is absolutely incredible. Ben was such a perfect addition to the band. It's a good departure from Lose Your Delusion, which I appreciate.

Maybe it's my ears but production seems a little odd at times.

Overall I really enjoyed it! Ben in the band now makes me miss Heartsounds.

Production has been questionable but I think with good headphones I won’t mind

Listening to the full album, the production doesn't bother me as much as it did when we only had the singles.

It helps that the songs are as good as they are, this might be one of their best albums, not that they have any particularly weak releases. Even their earlier, pre-AWS releases have merit (and worse production than this one!).

Overall, I'm super happy with this album. It starts, it rocks the whole way through and then it ends. It soars from one high point to the next. This one will help me cope with the rest of this year.

    Yeah this goes hard.

I fell in love with LYD last year and listened to it probably more than any other album last year. This one rules too.

started listening to these guys because they are playing very very close to me and ended up doing a whole discography run starting from career suicide. I would describe them to someone as being like propagandhi if they never got proggy/grew up but DID similarly get into shredding, though some songs also remind me a lot of hwm and my beloved dillinger four. I agree with everyone saying the production on the newonee is weirdly flat, esp compared to UYD and the partycrasher reissue which both sound great. I'm guessing between the sound, the brief runtime and the art it was maybe a bit of a rush job for scheduling reasons.

I assume they'll be great fun live, will be taking a bathroom break if they play the "we love canada" song tho lol
