Officially started going through the discography, listened to their first album last night. Production was fantastic (still holds up now), though some of the lyrics were a bit cheesy for me, though they had their charm. Is that how they stay throughout or does the rapping become better, for lack of a better term?

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the album and I know that the next two are generally regarded as two of the best hip-hop albums ever. Listening to Low End Theory tonight

their first three albums are all undeniable classics. they only seem cheesy now because of how much of the groundwork they laid out in the early 90s for everyone to follow after. phife and tip were (are) some of the greatest MCs ever.

Yeah, Tip is great. Still waiting on a follow up to The Renaissance, which was one of my favorite hip hop records of the past decade.

I liked Low End Theory significantly more than I did the first one, it was amazing. Really loved basically every song (though I'm not sure how I feel about the Date Rape one)

    Midnight Marauders is tonight

Midnight Marauders is fantastic, holy shit

I need to give the first one another chance before I listen to the rest
