the whole "I think you're beautiful even without your makeup" thing when Lady Gaga is objectively gorgeous rubs some people the wrong way, which I get but also if even she is insecure about her looks our society really is fucked up

 

Not trying to be shitty but that person has nearly 70,000 followers but seemingly averages less than 10 comments and retweets per post? Is twitter really that dead?

Like, who the heck looks through someone's Twitter to weigh a fair observation against how strong that person's online presence is? Goodness. It's not some grand conspiracy of manufactured backlash.

 

People on a twitter do that...all the time.

 

I literally glanced at the page and thought it was odd. I didn't spend hours digging through their feed to dig up a reason to talk shit on the person, I was commenting on twitter in general.

Also I felt the need to remind people that twitter is a bad website

 

Someone get the Cooper scooper, this looks like a turd.

 

Everything I’ve been reading is that even the most hardened, cynical critics (see: Ehrlich) have been won over by this thing. I’m very excited for it.

That's so dumb. You can't even call it a remake anymore, there's fucking four of them. It's just another adaptation of a classic work, like another version of Pride and Prejudice or something.

Someone pls tell me if this is worth reading but I’m assuming it is.

 

Saw this last night. The second half meanders somewhat, and it's kind of dull at times, but it's also kind of good overall. More stuff in here I liked than disliked. I don't know if Gaga as Ally stole the film to the extent that the early reviews are saying, but she's certainly quite good. On top of that, I had no earthly idea that was Dice Clay as one of the characters until I saw the credits

 

Yeah, this was quite good. Gaga and Cooper’s chemistry sells the hell out of it. And I was shocked at how good Andrew Dice Clay and Dave Chappelle were.

Also, can’t wait to get the soundtrack.
