I kinda dig where they're going with this reworked Nettles plot in HotD now knowing where it goes When Rhaenyra loses it and goes full "Maekar with teets" tyrant mode and Daemon has been ordered by her to kill his own daughter it will become the crux of his personal redemption and ultimately his self sacrifice
Since the body of daemond is never found after the battle above the gods eye, I think the show will have him survive with Caraxes and then Alys will kill him with some witch magice or something after he crawls up on shore. She is obviously not happy with him at the moment.
Yeah but I preferred Nettles going off and living with Sheepstealer somewhere vs. this where in order for the book to be accurate, Sheepstealer is gonna have to either die or fly off itself and Rhaena has to hatch a new dragon…I assume we will not see that happen sadly
