lol true. Everyone kinda laughed and made some fake hope jokes about the post but now everyone’s doing the half-ironic half-serious “wait a minute…” posts

David, I'm sorry, but you should honestly just write your own ending to the series at this point

I unfortunately don’t have the artistic talent for that lol

Neither did Benioff and Weiss, didn't stop them.

Benioff actually wrote a very, very good book himself:
    City of Thieves

Its insane how GRRM created this whole world with hundreds of years of history and people are obsessed with the least interesting part of it

This just randomly hit me....Charlize Theron for Visenya? Problem is she's probably too old for VIsenya during the conquering, but like...she's exactly what I picture from mid-life VIsenya

I am of the firm belief we will get, at minimum, 2-3 more Dunk and Egg tales in the next....lets say 2-3 years. I think the popularity of the show is gonna convince GRRM he can release them without much of a blacklash from the fanbase as he assumed he'd get for releasing them before Winds, and I'm also pretty convinced he's already got 2-3 of them written based on what was said in interviews by him and the AKOTSK show runner.

I've given up trying to prognosticate when Winds will come. It could be announced tomorrow or 5 years from now and I wouldn't be shocked at either one at this point

    Lmao

also the play cast a light skinned POC to play Ned Stark and some people are trying to be weird about it even though it’s a stage play and they hardly ever care about matching race to character when casting

Bought a set of the five novels a few years ago with the intention of reading them ~eventually~

Season 3 of HotD approaching got me wanting to start GoT again but instead of watching through a fourth or fifth time I decided to finally pick up the books and I’m glad bc this is the most fun I’ve had reading in a while

oooo I didn’t realize you never read them (or I just forgot haha). They really are an awesome read. His inner Tolkien comes out sometimes where he spends a page and a half describing the food, and sometimes there’s a POV I just don’t care to be in at that moment, but otherwise a fun read for sure
