Speaking of which, Danny Carey has been saying Tool would be releasing a new album this year. Can you say anything about that, Maynard?
Keenan: [Pauses] No.

this is my least fav of the new songs but I am super excited for this new record

 

Yeah this is def my least favorite so far, although Disillusioned grew on me a ton after the first few days.

I'm throttling back my expectations some upfront based on this single and that interview. Sounds like this LP may be a huge departure from the early stuff, and Maynard's new lyrical sensibilities are going to take some adjusting to.

 

I’m really loving the keys I’m hearing in the songs released so far. Also Maynard sounds so on point. Exciting stuff.

 

The artwork is terrible, but I’m really excited for this. Also why not have him eat an elephant on the cover!? Why a random octopus!?

The Doomed and TalkTalk are great. Still need to grow on Disillusioned.

 

Found out yesterday that my mate got me tickets for their London show in June. Proper stoked for that as I never got to see APC first time round.

I’m so jealous, it’s been so long since Tool have been over here.
