Saw them last night and they were phenomenal. Perfect mix, all the heavier moments hit so hard and I even found myself warming up to the Eat The Elephant stuff I never really gravitated towards in studio form. Didn't even mind that for a couple of their iconic cuts, their remixes or alternate, jammy versions were played because it made the show have a looser, proggy feel. Still wish the OG "3 Libras" would've been dusted off, as they did it in recent shows overseas, but ah well. Also so pleased to see Greg with them. If I never get the chance to see Failure live, at least I'll take solace in the fact I was able to see 1/3 of the band. Random but I couldn't stop thinking how the bassist looks like Walter from Quicksand. Obviously, it's actually the same one they've had for a while, I just didn't know what he looked like in 2026 lol.
One last thing but I don't recall the last time I went to a concert with phone restrictions. It was so refreshing, to the point I was annoyed when everyone around me went back to filming for the final song, as requested by the band lol. I wouldn't mind this becoming more prevalent.
But why though? Bear in mind I've never heard the original so to me it's just a heavy, mean-sounding song that I think fits the message the album is trying to send.
