I’m really surprised this didn’t gain more traction on this site. Maybe it will have a resurgence come EOY list time.
Damn it. I was so excited to see what they had next in store. One of the best in the genres, No Place is very close to a masterpiece.
I could tell this was coming from miles away to be honest. I saw them on their Emarosa tour and it just seemed evident plus their last record didn’t do so well.
I'm one of those people who thought their latest record was the best. Was excited to see where they would build on that sound, so I'm definitely bummed.
Yeah I agree with this. From things I had heard though it was pretty much inevitable, damn shame but I know a lot of them will go on to do great things.
No Place and Conversations Piece are still very solid. Just spent the morning listening to both records.
DIVISI, No Place, Conversation Piece, and Plan B are all dope as hell. It makes me mad they never really got the attention they deserved. They were such gifted musicians. Excited for Royal Coda, and new Sianvar tho
sad :( i was hoping to see them have a chance to push forward, i felt like with a little more time for cory's voice to mature, their next tours/album could have been incredible. i was wondering if joe joining a new band with kurt was a bad sign for ALLB.
Pretty bummed, never fell in love with DIVISI but I think it got a lot of undeserved shit as well. kinda funny that the new Royal Coda song sounds kind of like something that would be on this, just with Kurt, and he left this band because that's not what he wanted to do lol
he probably wasn't into the idea of having two clean lead singers Also DIVISI is like all ballads (at least how I remember it, didn't have much interest in returning to it after a few listens), that Royal Coda song feels a little more aggressive musically
Kurt left cuz Michael was taking a lot of creative control, and wanted to do no screaming vox with Cory. Plus Kurt, and Michael just weren’t getting along it seems. They cool now I guess.
damn kurt sure goes all out vocally on that song i actually don't think the song is that interesting sadly
