i feel like the age stuff is where GOT/HOTD has strayed the most, though. but yeah, we'll see.

Specifically, he directed Be Right Back, San Junipero, and Striking Vipers for Black Mirror. He also directed 4 eps of Mrs. Davis!

 

Can’t remember BRB but San Junipero is an all timer.

I wonder how show fans will react to this. If it is a faithful adaptation of the novellas then it'll be unlike any GoT show they've ever done. No epic setpiece battles, not a lot of political courtly intrigue, no globehopping following tons of different characters around the world, no dragons. Just a series of straightforward insular buddy adventure stories. It is probably comparatively the most lighthearted stuff GRRM wrote in ASOIAF canon.

The closest thing I can compare it to is The Mandalorian, but if Mando and Grogu's entire adventure was on a single planet from season to season.
