I’ll pray to the old gods and the new it’s an actual blooper reel and not those dumb 5 minute montages of actors laughing and making silly faces set to music with only like 3 actual bloopers in it

 

This was absolutely fantastic. Slept on it and glad I did, because it was the perfect 2-night binge.

Just realized the story we got from Ser Arlan about the penny tree is why Dunk shows Plummer the penny in his hilt. I didn’t quite get why when Plummer said he never heard of him why Dunk said there’s his penny, like it seemed like a random thing other than “oh I guess he’s trying to prove he’s from
Pennytree?”, but now we know due to Ser Arlan’s story that Dunk associated the penny with knighthood and being the unworldly man he is probably thought/assumed everyone knew that and etc.

Also since it was just replaying, I didn’t look close enough to see that at the end when Arlan turns left and starts riding off, Dunk looks over at him.

Man this show was just so good at everything.

Very curious how people respond to season 2. I once again forget most of the story outside of the major beats/how it ends, and I’m gonna torture myself to not read it again before the show airs….but we’re going form origin story to knight in action so I wonder if people will be as charmed by it. I think I remember it being my least favorite of the 3 stories, still good just not as good as 1 and 3

 

Yeah reading an article on The Ringer about how the next couple seasons will play out, the writer is a little concerned about s2. Apparently the novella 2 will be about is more dialogue heavy.

 

yeah lots of dialogue between like 4-5 characters from what I remember. Probably forgetting something but there’s dunk and egg and then three other “major” characters in the story from what I remember. And very ‘local politics’ heavy in the plot haha

A great casting for the character of Ser Eustace would be a good start. I know most folks want them to continue the tradition of mostly unknowns but I think it’d be cool to get a “big name” for his role, and I am basing that on nothing but gut feeling. I just have no idea who would work for that role. Like Brian Cox would be cool but Eustace is a bit more ‘buff’ for an old guy not rotund haha. But maybe you could go unknown British stage actor for him and go bigger name for one of the other main characters

 

How about Ralph fiennes? He’s a fit British dude who’s old and certainly is recognizable. I don’t know the character at all so im just basing it off of your descriptors

 

hmmm…that could work? Iirc he’s described as having like bushy eyebrows and a bushy mustache and full head of hair so not anything they couldn’t do in make up haba

 

Season 2 started filming in December…pretty sure the cast is set.

 

Delayed casting announcements happen all of the time. Yellowjackets is also almost done as far as I know and Molly Ringwald and June Squibb just got announced through Deadline today.

 

Yeah I think so far the only casting news we got for season 2 is Rohanne Webber.

 

Spent all season thinking "hey Aerion looks kinda familiar" and just today realized he was the young cop/deputy to Jodie Foster in True Detective Season 4 lol

I remembered him from a different show a period drama about ancient Rome called Domina. I've seen him in a couple more stuff since, glad he's been getting roles as he's a good actor.

 

Sam spruell was in Fargo and Daniel ings was in the gentlemen

 

I wonder if the popularity of Ser Raymun will entice GRRm to have Dunk and Egg visit New Barrel in the future. I assume they’ll go to Storms End at some point too.
