Really loving the preview for next week and how Maekar looks/sounds

 

Really intense ep, and I’m loving the show. Also kind of cool to see the benefit of chain mail haha, and how you just have to beat the fuck out of someone when they have so much armor on

 

It's this season really only six episodes long? HBO was saying season finale on Sunday

 

Cinematography and sound on this episode were absolutely phenomenal

yeah for context I think this next episode is based on like 5 pages of story. So they're gonna be adding a lot to stretch it to 30 minutes

 

How much of a time jump is there between the novellas?

 

It's been a long time since I read it but I think there's a total 2 year time period between the first one and the 3rd one, and one of them happens only a few months after the other, but I can't remember if that's the 2nd one or the 3rd one lol.

I thiiiink the 'longer' gap may be between the 1st and 2nd one because in the 2nd one I believe they mentioned having gone to visit a certain other place (which I really hope they show us) before they ended up where they're at.

 

Just saw someone point out that since the battlefield they were picking over was implied to be the Battle of Redgrass FIeld that ended the war, that it means that Sir Arlan's nephew and first squire had just died, so explains why he was a complete mess even moreso than he may have usually been.

 

1.5 years. About to same time between filming of the actual tv show.

 

Show has been awesome. Most I've enjoyed GOT in years. Only real bummer is the episode length for me. Would love some more perspectives of the fight from this week in the finale. It was so chaotic I could barely tell what was going on.

 

Agreed, they've seen fully committed to staying only in Dunk's POV (Since that's how the story is told), but woulda been cool to spend like 30 seconds or so with all of his teammates to see what else was going on. I get why they didn't deviate from Dunk's POV, but I wish they had lol

I love the little lore they drop in the flashback. All the Blackfyre stuff is always so cool to hear mentioned. Then seeing Sir A’s nephews grave was a nice touch.

if Ira Parker gets his way we should be able to see them together again! Lol
