Tonight's episode is hyped as fuck. Cant remember the last time a GoT related piece of media was this talked about.

Was on the edge of my seat the entire fight. I wasn’t expecting Dunk to get so quickly and brutally bloodied. Such a gratifying moment when he forced Aerion to stand and yeild facing the crowd too

 

I can't believe I thought this would be about a jousting tournament

 

Yeah I truly don’t remember Dunk getting THAT fucked up in the story I can’t wait to go back and read it now

and yeah him just being fucking pissed at the end and dragging his ass over to say it was great

 

If anyone sees any articles breaking down who we see doing what in the trial please let me know. I would love to see some frame by frame breakdowns lol

looked like it was Baelor that picked up the lance and wrecked someone off their horse. Maekar killed Lyonel’s horse. Then it looked like he was hacking away with Baelor on Maekar, and the last thing we see of them fighting is I think Maekar swinging backwards and his mace crushing Baelor in the head. We also see Raymun tackle the shit out of Steffon haha

Do we see the horses get fucked? The only thing I don’t like about any of these series is that we see the animals getting hurt. The joust with Adrian was such a turn off that i had to turn it off after and come back after my brain had settled

 

To my memory we do see one horse get got, but it’s not focused on like in the Aerion fight, it just shows the initial stab and then we see the rider tumble off backwards

 

If there were ever a time to say it - phrasing

 

Haven’t seen a ton of talk about it because it was overshadowed by the trial obviously, but the flashback was really good and heartbreaking. I actually didn’t realize they were goldcloaks in the first interaction but realized it the second time.

Poor dunk telling rafe he loved her and then immediately losing her. Idk why but I didn’t expect Dunk’s first meeting of Ser Arlan to be when he was in the middle of a multi day bender lol

Great episode. Did the trial of the seven justice. Loved the flashback part.
