I understood it as them being pissed at Aerion for "winning" in such an obviously underhanded/sadistic way

 

Yeah I for some reason I thought he just hit the guy not the horse not sure how I missed that so didn't realize the move was dirty

Overall this show continues to be a ton of fun

 

Good episode. Very glad they are releasing the next one on Friday to not compete with the Super Bowl

Was listening to a discussion about episode 2 and they brought up that they love Baelor so far, but that book accurate he would have even more Dornish features and one of them mentioned Oscar Issac would have been a pretty "perfect" casting and yeah I agree.

But they also said doesn't really matter because the actor crushed his scene in episode 2 and yeah I agree lol

 

What's funny was literally earlier in the day yesterday I was thinking about how it was going to suck to not watch it live if the SB was still a close game at that point lol

YEah the show telegraphed it pretty strongly in ways that the book couldnt/wouldn't be as obvious. Thats why i was saying it's probably silly for Grim to avoid the thread over book spoilers as that was the big twist everyone was talking about haha

There's obviously stuff happening in the next 3 weeks that should be avoided spoiler wise as well, but yeah, Egg being a Targ prince/Maekar's son is the first big "oh shit" moment

The twist was so good, while I knew it was coming I was with people who hadn't read the book and I then explained the timeline and they went back to rewatch previous episodes.

 

For someone who has only watched the shows, I felt like the twist was fairly obvious but still good. However, I started listening to the audiobook and I’ve finished The Hedge Knight and I gotta say I would have never expected it to go where it went. I won’t elaborate but I kinda wish I waited til after the season to do this. I’m excited to see it play out

Already seeing stuff about how good the episode is, trying to avoid spoilers until we can watch it later

 

I’m fully enjoying this show way more than I ever expected to.
