This has my interest. This looks to be what I incorrectly thought Zero Day was going to be.

This was a frustrating watch. You basically can’t talk about it without discussing the ending.

I really liked Tracy. Wasn’t as high on Idris. His whole vibe seemed to be “Guy who is out of breath the entire time.”

Really interested to see how people here take it and the Blank Check pod on it, knowing Sims did not like it.

I wish I could catch it in theaters, but the closest screening is an hour south in Salem, OR. So bizarre. My guess is because it's the state capital, so all the state government workers can go see it? Nuclear War: A Scenario is the most unsettling book I've read in ages, and this is giving me similar vibes.

definitely difficult to talk about without discussing the ending, although i personally didn’t find it to be either frustrating or bad, it was about what i expected it to end with. i will say the suspense of the first half hour was insane, very…eerie? really does not let you breathe.

loved this though. glad i was able to see it in a theater.

An episode of The West Wing if Sorkin was somehow on even more cocaine.

Also a few really terrible American accents especially from Jared Harris and Rebecca Ferguson.

Also I believe this is at least the third thing I have seen Jared Harris in where his character commits suicide beginning to become a trope for him

At this point, he’s just dying while doing what he loves: committing suicide.

Quite liked this. Really tense and emotional at certain parts. Actors really conveyed the seriousness of the situation they were put in. Purpose of the film (imo) was to show how an actual strike might play out with those in charge, and I think it effectively did that. The fact that the US only launched two interceptors seemed pretty unrealistic, and I’m not sure an SLBM could reach Chicago in only 17 minutes, but the rest (to me at least) played out as I assume it would plausibly play out in real life. You can test and train 850 times, but will you act that way when it actually happens? I would have liked a resolution of course, but film wasn’t really about that.
