I only kinda get the comparison in that Good Nature and this band have beachy vibes. I do hear a touch of Turnover in Swimmer during the bridge

 

this band was doing "that" sound long before turnover did, they influenced them if anything

 

Yeah I was gonna say, Good Nature came out in 2017. YAOMM was 2013 and HYSMPC was 2010.

 

I mean, I don’t think anyone was saying Turnover did it first or influenced this record haha. Doesn’t really change the similarities regardless

 

I mean someone brought them up unprovoked so it was weird

No one said turnover did it first, just drew comparisons to Good Nature. What a weird thing to make even slightly contentious.

I will say, Waiting For Your Love could easily be a Good Nature song.

I've always heard of this band but never tried listening much. Hoooooooly shit have I been missing out. Been playing this and You're Always On My Mind on repeat the past couple days.

This last album went under the radar. It was excellent!

 

Finally got the vinyl, 15 months after i ordered it and 8 after it was supposed to ship. Hadn't listened in a while but it's so, so good.

I forgot I ordered this album until it showed up at my door. I literally didn’t know what it could be since the only album I remember ordering recently is the new Blink-182 album.
