A Ghost Story (David Lowery, July 27, 2017 A24) Movie

In the film a ghost (Casey Affleck) silently observes his grieving widow (Rooney Mara) in his beloved home. Affleck reportedly wears a sheet for most of the film, and it was shot almost entirely in a single house including a talked about two-shot five-minute scene in which Mara eats an entire pie in real time.

I guess I can justify seeing Casey in a movie if you don't really see or hear him

It sucks that Casey Affleck is apparently a totally shitty guy because he's a fantastic actor, excited to see the trailer for this

 

It does indeed.

I haven't seen anything this director has made but I guess he did the recent Pete's Dragon and will be helming the upcoming Peter Pan, neither of which interest me but I am very intrigued by this movie's premise.

 

Yeah Casey Affleck is a tremendous actor.

Completely spellbound by the trailer. Music choice was on point.

 

I'm getting The Tree of Life vibes but I also don't want to get my hopes up by saying that. Either way I'm really excited for this.

I Get Overwhelmed by Dark Rooms

 

Despite this being carried by A24, I think this looks kind of awful and on the nose.

Only New York and LA this weekend, which is a bummer. I'm dying to see this.
