Biopic of Doug Kenney, the co-founder of National Lampoon and writer of Caddyshack and Animal House. Based off the 2006 book of the same name. It will cover the rise and fall of National Lampoon and how a group of comedy writers and performers in the 1970's changed American comedy forever.

Holy shit that cast

 

McHale as Chase is such a good casting decision holy shit. The entire cast is great. This will be great.

 

I feel like McHale could go either way. Other than that, I'm into it.

 

Hell yeah. Just ordered the book

 

If there's anyone who can do Chevy, it's McHale. They worked together for years and both have sardonic wit.

 

So ready for this.

 

Seeing as this is a Netflix movie I'm really hopeful we get this by the end of the year!

Like a lot of Netflix comedies, looks (visually) ridiculously cheap and fake. Still laughed during the trailer, v excited for it.

 

Looks great. I'm all in on pretty much anything Wain does.

 

I like the format they appear to be using, with Mull namedropping Forte and acknowledging that it's a movie

This looks like it will be a lot of fun, but I have to agree that it does look cheaply made, thanks in part to hi-def/bright lighting. What do I care, though? I forever trust David Wain's vision.

 

Looks like it could be cool. I've enjoyed most everything Wain has been involved with, and the cast is obviously great, so I'm hopeful it will be good.
