That 30 second clip is catchier than everything on Bad Vibrations. It seems like like Jeremy completely forgot how to write hooks on that album
Instagram comments were super bad. I saw a comment thread about how they're now sellouts, which was amusing. ADTR used to have songs play during Jersey Shore on MTV back in the day. They've played Jimmy Kimmel's show. They've played X Games. They've always sought means by which to make the band bigger and to increase their audience. This feels in line with that and I'm intrigued by it. I hope the song is good and is massive for the group.
I really dig this; catchy, and not at all cringe-inducing or anything. No way a "sell-out" move either in my opinion; Jeremy has an incredible voice, and it's great to hear what he does with this track
dig it a lot i’m forever too biased to judge anything adtr does as i’m destined to be on board with whatever they do. song is fun and the video is pretty cool
Where dat new album though? They had twice the time to make 3 LP during that mess before/during Common. Even taking a year off shouldn’t have gotten in the way.
As crazy as it sounds, I could actually see a band like Metallica asking these guys to open for them on a tour; they could bring a whole new wave of fans to their shows, and ADTR are heavy enough to crossover to the Metallica fans. Just thinking of how big this band is getting, that I could see this idea working
this song is catchy, but idk if im into it. they've been trying to do this edm x rock/pop-punk crossover for so long. and honestly this sound like nothing special. the transition between "rock" and "edm" is way too rigid and not as subtle as they'd like it to be. for this to truly catch on, i do think that they need to figure out how to bridge the sounds. it sounds like they're forcing genres
I really dislike EDM. That's not to knock it, or anyone who is into it, but it is the one genre of music I've never heard anything out of that I ever actually want to listen to. It all sounds basically indistinguishable to me, I couldn't tell the difference between artists to save my own life. I just don't get it. I never have, I never will. Just not my thing. So, with that said, I don't care for this, but I admit it's catchy enough until the EDM beat kicks in. But hey, good for them. This stuff is wildly popular. I'm not naive to that. If this catches on, that's cool as hell.
