This is horrible. Glad I listened to the leak and not support them

nah they are still harboring a predator and providing him with a platform. Wild how they’re just getting away with it.

    Are You Watching Closely?

Not saying that they should let a more skilled bassist make a difference in decision making, but its even MORE baffling that he's a SHIT bassist... Like, literally anyone playing bass for more than a month could replace him and nobody would blink or notice.

Already know this is gonna be a complete cringe fest. And kick the fucking bassist out.

    Hey. Supporter

Nearly every member of ADTR is in their mid thirties, married, with kids, but are still writing songs about being rebellious and belligerent. It’s almost like they can’t come up with any other lyrical content so are repeating the same shit over and over.

I mean at this point it's too late. They've persisted for too long for all to be forgiven if they kicked him out now.

Also, fuck Fueled By Ramen for sticking by these scumbags and keeping them on the roster.

I listened to the new ADTR album and listening to the new Chevelle now. Holy shit, what a difference! I cringed through the whole ADTR album and with every new Chevelle song that comes in I get more and more into the album.

Yeah new Chevelle is really good. Solid album top to bottom and heavy as fuck from start to finish. Unlike this arena rock whatever you want to call it
All I know is it’s not very good. Wonder what the comments will look like in the coming days for the people who actually support them on this and listen to it on Apple Music or Spotify

Man, I wanted to anticipate this. I was one of the few on here who vocally LOVED Degenerates, and I wouldn't mind a whole album of that.

The NME review really sums it up as a band that is so far removed from actual problems, the lyrics can't compare with what the fuck we've all been living through for the last 15 months. Why they didn't release this in 2019 is perplexing and a bit wild.

The Facebook comments from fans are pretty bad. This is gonna be a big flop and deservedly so. Screw this band.

I don’t ever want to dunk on a band for a style change, but considering the shittery surrounding this band and it’s members I feel okay letting loose.

This style change really does not suit A Day To Remember, I’m all for moving in a poppier direction or doing something artistic but this is hot garbage musically and lyrically. Not only that but it makes no sense In 2021! Bloodsucker sounds like a song trying to do what Fall Out Boy did in 2013 and it fails tremendously.

I think it’s time for them to fade into obscurity and face consequences for their disgusting actions. Fuck them

Edit: If they don’t already have their “fuck you money” by this point - they never will

I'm not planning on listening to this album, but as I've said before - this band used to mean a lot to me (no pun intended). I have an ADTR t-shirt, they were the first heavy band I ever got into. Homesick was one of my favourite albums of all time and I've seen them thrice. I'm sad it's come to this, both musically and as people. The allegations against Josh have been around for some time and the band's reluctance to even address them is dispiriting, and that's me being nice. I just can't be bothered with this band anymore - their silence and handling of Josh's behaviour is crushing.

Apparently you need to enable a predator AND release a bad radio rock album for the pop punkers to denounce your band

These guys haven’t been good for a long time and everything surrounding Josh should be formally addressed by the band.

Seems they sat on this for no reason and it did them no favours in the end as we all want real and authentic music right now. Lyrically bad shit like this has no place in 2021 for me.

FTR, my statement was not meant to make it seem like I'm severing ties with them because of the music, apologies if it came off that way. Probably should have worded it better. I stopped listening to them and supporting them because of the shit with Josh and the band's disgraceful lack of response.

There's unfortunately many others jumping off because of the album quality tho and not the continued promotion of their bass guy predator, not directed specifically to anyone

We reach for the longest shadow

I mean, NFG, Blink, and a lot of other popular bands are still running with the shtick to a varying degree of success. It's always been odd to me.

Am I going to listen to a Chevelle album? When did Chorus start repping Chevelle?

this album is almost as shitty as the band is. gave it a download because they're not seeing a fucking penny of mine (and I like trainwrecks) and it's literally cringeworthy how bad this shit is. shit dudes, shit album, don't waste your fucking time

I’m not surprised that our general community here is not liking this, but I just went to their Instagram post from two hours ago and no one likes it and that’s weird to me. But it took a bad attempt at radio rock and not a fucking predator in the band to change their outlook

I’ve done my one listen and I won’t be revisiting

Instead of listening to/supporting this shitty band, go support any other (very likely struggling) band right now this Bandcamp Friday. They could use the support more than this awful band.
