I liked MIndreader quite a bit. It's super catchy. Resentment was meh. Degenerates was bland pop rock. This is just progressive bad.
Most of the individual sections of this song are interesting enough but the tempo changes don’t really feel like they make sense or serve a purpose.
The artwork is fine but not worth the delay. Merch all looks terrible. Song is fine. Kick Josh out of the band
That is no joke one of the worst songs I've heard this year. And I can't believe they are okay with that mix. Bewildered
How hard is it to write “City of Ocala” or “Right Back at it Again”? Just play those two songs over and over. Thanks.
If they play ARENAS (no matter how large or small), they are an ARENA band...Lets not confuse facts with feelings
What a dumb comment. “Arena rock” is very clearly a term commonly used to describe the kind of butt rock those arena rock bands usually play. The way @koryoreo used it in their post makes that obvious. They weren’t making a comment about the size of venues they play at all.
Actually they were. Arena rock refers to bands playing generic sounding rock music in big settings with large crowds. No one calls underground bands that sound like Godsmack but play small venues arena rock because they are in club atmosphere. Angels and Airwaves was referred to as arena rock because of their sound and the arenas they played and they weren’t “but rock.”
Still like Mindreader a lot. Every album after Homesick only has a handful of good songs on it. This thread was entertaining today though!
A Day To Remember? More like A Day To Forget About These Guys Because They Stood Behind A Creep. But seriously, this...isn't good.
Lol who didn’t know about Josh? He was called out big time almost a decade ago on a certain trash site with plenty of proof posted from his accuser. Fuck that site but also fuck this band and this song is terrible.
You're not wrong at all. There were multiple posts on a revenge porn website (we all know what one) about Josh being creepy towards women on Facebook, as well as naked photos of Josh. This was multiple different women that he would involve himself with, all of which claimed to be fans of the band. I do not defend revenge porn, but the site did highlight a lot of abusive men in the scene all the way back to the 2011/2012 timeframe. I don't understand why it took people this long to bring Josh's name up again. People absolutely loved Common Courtesy despite the information that has been out there. It became their biggest album, I'm pretty sure. Maybe twitter just wasn't big enough in 2012 or something.
I'm pretty sure I remember there were posts about Jesse Lacey on that awful website as well but people still supported BN till things blew up. Definitely a shitty website but I agree it did highlight a lot of awful people.
