If you are planning on seeing this, there are some great Dylan films to watch before this comes out. 1. I'm Not There - a biopic in name only, it covers different parts of Dylan's life using six different actors. It is about Dylan as an image rather than a person, as the characters are often reacting to other forms of Dylan. 2. Inside Llewyn Davis - he isn't named Dylan, but the main character is essentially a more morose, unlucky Dylan. It captures that Greenwich Village scene that he came up in. 3. No Direction Home - the best Dylan documentary, ending with the best rendition of the best Dylan song.
i think it's become a bit oversaturated with time. it's a great song but I think it would be closer to 10 than 1 in a top ten for me but he's a top 3 artist ever for me and I'm a geek about it
The Royal Albert Hall performance is so intense. I don't listen to music that loud often but when that one comes on I have to turn it all the way up. His delivery of "how does it feel?" feels like it is asking you directly.
i know very little about dylan, so take that as you will when i say this was just alright. like it makes a bit of sense that searchlight didn’t seem to do a big awards push for this
