This week we are doing a deep dive on the new album from Manchester Orchestra. The album, A Black Mile to the Surface, comes out on July 28th, so you can decide if you wanna hear all our thoughts on the album now or wait until you’ve heard it for the first time. We walk through each song on the album, so expect “spoilers.” And, we’re both pretty excited about this one. Sponsor Social Drinker: This week’s episode is brought to you by a band from Atlanta that will be releasing their new EP on September 8th. We play their new single “Holding” in this episode. this is great im eating breakfast and listening. nice to hear @Drew Beringer on the podcast as always. another great 'cast @Jason Tate although i still have very little idea what the story is in this thread aside from the press release and some of my own little observations
Having only heard 2-3 songs from this album, the things that you two had to say about it made it sound a lot like TREOS' The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi.
Stoked to listen - but am personally very spoiler-adverse so will be listening to this shortly after previewing the album in full. Thanks guys!
