    I thought this was woefully underwhelming and built up to not enough of a payoff.

    The biggest problem with the movie is that it thinks adults should be listening to the moral tales of someone like Mr. Rogers. It was meant for children; the scene where he tells someone he barely knows that he should forgive the father he has never met is pretty awful when you think about all of the things that parents can potentially have done to children that would make them not talk to them anymore. That sort of simplicity is fine for children, but not for thinking adults.

  3. This was so wonderful to sit with, just outstanding performances and directing all around. To me, the emotional payoff was very much earned (and fitting)
