I'm in the minority that think At Long Last A$AP was far and away his best work and I don't see him ever topping it. That said, this is definitely growing on me with every listen
Got half way through this before turning it off. What I heard was ok, but nothing kept me interested enough to listen to it all
I'm pretty sure the last A$AP record was my AOTY or really close. Huge mood, caused a lot of discussion and was the background to a lot of nights in my friend group, etc. This album is decent - 6.5-7 is appropriate. I disagree with the thinking that he's "experimenting" on this record. He's always bouncing around genres. The fact that the Kodak track exists is disappointing. I'm into the first five tracks then the whole mid-section of this album seems to fall apart or move around aimlessly. Smash the first five and the last five tracks together and I'd be giving this release a lot more attention.
The depth of what he does with vocals and layering is really interesting The Kodak thing obv brings my appreciation of the album down, may just skip that from now on. It's not surprising though, Rocky is .... really bad when it comes to sexism
I think I finally have to accept that I'm overall pretty disappointed with this outside of a few excellent songs. I'm of the extremely rare opinion that ALLA was his best work though
Been wanting to see him for years, so happy this was announced. I'd basically accepted he wasn't gonna tour for this album
