Album is amazing on first listen, very experimental, and probably a grower. I love it already though, except that Kodak song. Good thing it’s the most boring song on the album.
Yeah, this is still awesome. I've been having a serious case of trap fatigue so it's refreshing to have an album where a rapper is actually trying new and interesting things instead of taking small iterative steps and rehashing.
I don’t think it’s on streaming, unfortunately. But he dropped a new project called Black Soap that is on streaming (I haven’t heard it yet).
This is way weirder than I expected it to be, after the A$AP Mob albums I was expecting him to go more mainstream but this is probably his most experimental shit so far. I think At Long Last A$AP is a fucking incredible album so I don't see this album topping that for me but TESTING is already growing on me by the hour. I still think A$AP Forever is the best song though Also here's an underrated Frank rapping song
Yeah I’m liking this way more than DAYTONA, but I’m more prone to enjoying the experimental stuff anyway
I only got through 5 songs during my drive and I love A$AP Forever but personally the song with Skepta felt a little disappointing.
got through the next 5 songs and Gunz N Butter is really dope. I love the sample. I do think Buck Shots and Calldrops are wack and I'd cut them personally. yup agreed. A far better song with skepta. I was expecting a trade off verses.
Not gonna lie got like 6 tracks in and everything was solid, but I skipped to the end because I wanted to hear Frank Ocean ASAP.
This is such a triumphant album. He takes the experimentation of ALLA and meshes it with a progression of what he came up with. There is a lot of Experimentation but the flows and lyrics still bang. His use of features is unbelievable too. I’ve never heard French Montana like that. Dev floats on Hun43rd. The Dean Blunt production is wild. I think this is the freshest, most ingenious albums I’ve heard this year.
Yeah this album was a hell of an experience. Extremely unpredictable every step of the way and constantly impressed me.
