I think that it’s pointless for artists to put out music when they have no fuel or no subject matter. Sometimes, I need to live a bit to give you the right subject matter to convey my experiences. The new stuff is me being vulnerable, and it’s just no filter, and just where I’m at, at my stage. My age and how I see things, my peers, the younger kids, the older cats, it’s just my perspective. We come in with some whole new fresh s**t. If we talking about inspiration and style and stuff like that, creativity, I do that in my sleep and we’re coming with that. I think now, my perspective has aged a bit. It’s like fine wine, and I’m starting to become more aware of things that I was oblivious to, things that I ignored, and a lot of things I was ignorant to. I’m more aware. I’ve experienced it firsthand or it’s just in my face every day. I think about encapsulating into albums. I try to figure out how to do that every time. The process of making music is more free. But I always try to stay on subject."

I feel like I didn't know he was even on trial

 

Yeah he was facing like 25 years in prison, he previously had rejected a plea deal which would have had him serve 6 months

 

Him leaping in to hug Rihanna is really cute

 

Maybe now this is all over he can finally dedicate time to putting out the album

 

I do wonder if the trial was the reason for the huge delay

 

It would be completely understandable if a father of two who is in the middle of a life-changing court case simply didn't find the time to make a new album, so I get it!

 

Yeah that was a dumb thing for me to say lol, going directly against the alleged name of the album

 

Hahaha I wasn't meaning to say it to call you out or anything, just was echoing what you were saying and putting into perspective a bit more

 

The albums BEEN done. They ran into some issues right before it's release date with copyright issues and getting approvals for samples if I remember correctly. It was ready for release.

Then the trial happened so yeah of course all his time and his team's time pivoted from album release to the legal issues. So now that this is finally over, id expect them to resume getting what we clearances they need to release. He's been buying it for a while so I bet he's eager to share it alongside the good news from the trial.
