I do not remember that show, but looks like it ended the year I was born heh. More of an Are You Afraid of the Dark kid
I have been watching these since you posted this and it is so fun. They did Legends of the Hidden Temple a couple times too but didn't continue it.
Salute Your Shorts was more of a multi-cam comedy sitcom it wasn't that similar to AYATD?. It was one of my favorite live action Nick shows along with Pete & Pete. "when I think about you it makes me want to fart" was an all time 90's kid elementary school lunch table bit.
Just discovered that there’s a 90s Nick channel on Pluto and it basically seems to cycle through three 8 hour blocks of Doug, Hey Arnold, and Rugrats. Pretty awesome. Hey Arnold is on during the daytime hours and my son is 6 so I figured it might be a bit too mature/old for him but he’s gotten really into it now.
Yeah free TV apps have some pretty solid marathons of Nicktoons. There's one that cycles through a lot of Fairly Oddparents iirc Also learned Prime has a ton of SpongeBob. A few months ago I downloaded all of Danny Phantom and it still holds up imo
Just checking back in to say how great it has been seeing Hey Arnold again and having my son watch it and really enjoy it. I hate getting old man yells at cloud but the cartoons we had are really just so much better than a lot of the overly safe slop we have today. He's still a litttttle too young to get everything out of the show, like the silliness parts of it play better to him then the emotional beats still, but that's okay, he's hooked so I know he can come back to it later on as he gets older and is more of the same age of the kids in the show.
Loved that show as a kid, esp the character Catalina. Interesting to learn it was pitched as a 5-season story, would’ve been cool to see it resolved
I remember not really getting into Space Cases. I think I was at that age where I wasn't really ready to move off of cartoons yet, and the ones I did watch that weren't cartoons were the ones that were already on Nick when I was younger and I got used to. That being said, I did love the game shows, and right now my son is sitting in my empty classroom because he had early dismissal and I've got the other Pluto 90s Nick channel on and it's Legend of the Hidden Temple. He seems to like it, especially the temple run, but I'm dying at some of the prizes these kids get. The first game where they have to cross the moat to determine the 4 teams that compete, the two that got eliminated's boobie prize was....Tuna fish lol
Nick Arcade was the fucking shit, definitely my favorite Wild and Crazy Kids was always fun too, I think it was in the summers they’d do that iirc. DoubleDare of course the GOAT. GUTS was fun as hell too
