Geez.... they fit, for sure. But anyone going would be 50+. We would all need seats. Of course Massachusetts has no Spin Doctors :( Who would fill in? Toad the Wet Sprocket?
People who like rap namedrop "Nirvana" thinking I'm gonna shit my pants when in reality I prefer My Bloody Valentine...
Smells Like Teen Spirit Mo Money Mo Problems or California Love I Want It That Way Generational rock song, the zeitgeist of the boy band era and iconic rap artist.
Essential 90s VH1: Goo Goo Dolls - Iris Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life Alanis Morisette - Ironic
Hard to say! Wonderwall and other two, that’s for sure. Even though there are a lot of genres that lived a “golden era” in the 90s, like rap, RnB, Grunge or Pop, Pop-rock artists are the ones that take me straight back to those years: Bryan Adams, Alanis, Goo Goo Dolls, Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, Third Eye Blind, Cranberries, The Corrs…
Quintessential? Whether we like them or not... Smells Like Teen Spirit started the whole 'Grunge' thing. No questions asked. I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston I want it that Way - Backstreet Boys. Im not sure of the 3rd one, but it could fit. Im trying not to hit them all in the same category.
I don't think there's a thread for this band on here, but the '90s thread folks might appreciate. I wrote about my lingering love for '90s radio rock bands, including their post-fame albums, including the 2000s output of Sister Hazel, of "All for You" fame. My Life In 35 Songs, Track 10: “Truth Is” by Sister Hazel
Didn’t know about this! the single is surprisingly solid The Verve Pipe has a new album coming out in July Upcoming album · Reconciled
Great band! Everyone thinks of them as a one hit wonder but they have many other good songs, including some excellent solo material by Brian Vander Ark.
I’m listening to Jagged Little Pill for the first time. Alanis never made it into my bubble (I was a little too young for JLP, when she was unavoidable), but I realized she keeps popping up in my Shazam. I’m really enjoying this. Newsflash: album that sold 30 million copies and won AOTY is good.
That album is so good, obviously. You should also check out Paula Cole's album This Fire, if you haven't heard it. It's so underrated and she self-produced it all.
