All things 90s music.
What are some of your favorite 90s one hit wonders?
you all should be ashamed none of you brought this one up in that Wallflowers thread
Love this band and this is one of the most 90s songs to ever 90s
Inject it straight into my veins
What’s a great solid album that gets overlooked or judged too quickly because of its biggest single?
I stand by Lit’s album A Place in the Sun and Bring Your Own Stereo by Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. Both are solid albums, in my opinion.
There's nothing like a 90s one hit wonder. Radio and MTV was so wild back then
The two 90s bands that I was most obsessssssed with were Hanson and then Everclear. Obsessed.
Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve... I’ve always wondered what the rest of that album sounds like but I’ve never listened to it. I may have to finally change that tomorrow.
The New Radicals song is, for my money, the greatest ‘90s one hit wonder. Everything about it is so iconically ‘90s.
Everclear was my favorite as well! I used to record their TV appearances on VHS. Hard to beat the 2 album combo of Sparkle and Fade followed by So Much For The Afterglow
wow Jimmie’s Chicken Shack,....haven’t heard that name in foreveeerr
They had a song on that album called Lucky Man that I always thought was super good. It got alternative radio airplay for maybe two weeks. Then it disappeared forever.
Song 2 by Blur. Huge band in a lot of the world, but definitely a one hit wonder in the states.
The Refreshments - Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy
Banditos and Down Together were the singles but the whole album is amazing.
Sparkle and Fade is still one of my favorite albums to go back and listen to. When I first got it, I was like "Wait what, this doesn't sound like the same band that did Father of Mine..." I was very confused and not a fan of more than just a couple songs. But the more I listened to it, Sparkle and Fade became my favorite album of theirs.
Some forgotten 90's gems -
Better Days - Citizen King
Oh Virginia - Blessid Union of Souls
Soul Asylum - I Will Still Be Laughing
Nine days - If I am
Come Down - Toad The Wet Sprocket
I have a 15-hour playlist ready for this moment.
Why are some of these artist - song and some song - artist?
I just switched to Sanka, so have a heart.
I actually had this album on CD... haha. I can't remember liking a single song on it other than this STRAIGHT UP FIRE BOP!
Did this make it across the country?
