That Costner Yellowstone win had to be the biggest shock of the night for me though.

 

To be fair they were like 0 for 3 when I posted that lol

 

Had to appease the conservative crowd lol

 

Tonight was kind of all over the place but biggest winners were Banshees Of Inisherin and Abbott Elementary with three wins each.

 

Will be interesting to see if the Banshees hype carries over to the Oscars in two months. It definitely benefited from got streaming bump after releasing my on HBO Max.

 

I was surprised Tyler James Williams won because he’s not even close to being the strongest actor in that category, but people must just really love the show.

 

Kind of surprised HBO didn't try to push someone from White Lotus as leading actress in limited series instead of putting Coolidge and Plaza as both supporting to try to get 3 wins

 

Disappointed that Severance didn't get anything.

I guess I need to watch Argentine, 1985? I thought for sure Decision To Leave or RRR would take that one.

 

Was going to tally the wins for companies but I wasn't sure if I should count Abbott as Disney or WBD since it's a co-production. Either way WBD and Disney are the two biggest winners of the night with most of the wins being one of the two.

Besides them Universal got 3, Paramount is at 2, Netflix is at 3, A24 got 2. Amazon and Apple got 1 each.

 

I like how even the HotD producer was pretty much like "yeah Severance should have won"
