Kyle Machlachlan for best actor in a mini-series for Twin Peaks. And all the awards to The Disaster Artist.
Shape of Water for drama, Disaster Artist for Comedy Call Me By Your Name hasn't made it to my city yet so I guess I can't be mad if it wins
Three Billboards is horrid but Rockwell was pretty deserving Brosnahan is great and makes Mrs. Maisel what it is - a very good show Foy was more deserving than Moss and, while Moss’ speech was very good, it feels pretty weird hearing it from a Scientologist
Really getting steamed about Bob Odenkirk going home empty-handed at every award show since Better Call Saul started. Not gonna lie.
I'm really not sure what films are going to win. I do feel confident saying Comedy will go to either Lady Bird or The Disaster Artist and Drama will go to either Call Me By Your Name, The Post or The Shape of Water, but I don't really know which of these to pick to actually win.
I would be shocked if Best Comedy goes to anything other than Lady Bird. I'm rooting for The Disaster Artist though. And in the alternate universe where The Big Sick was nominated, I'm rooting for The Big Sick.
I'm not commenting on the quality of one film over the other (of course Lady Bird was better), just trying to predict what will win. Also yeah The Big Sick was better than all of them but oh well.
It's one of those situations where I acknowledge that Lady Bird is a better movie but I enjoyed The Disaster Artist more
Alexandre Desplat really knocked that score out of the park. Haven't seen Phantom Thread or The Post yet though, so it's hard to say if it was really the best.
Fuck you, Globes. Worst song in the movie and no song in The Greatest Showman should win over Remember Me.
I wonder if Desplat will win the Oscar as well. With all the buzz behind The Shape of Water, it wouldn't surprise me. Back in 2014 he pulled off the surprise win for his incredible Grand Budapest Hotel score, now he's probably the frontrunner.
