Laura Dern is, objectively, the best. Although she should've been nominated and won for Twin Peaks.

i was going to say i'll pretend this is either for twin peaks or retroactively for enlightened instead but then i saw that she actually won for enlightened so hey, good job golden globes

 

she was great in the biggest tv show, the biggest movie, and the biggest cult classic of 2017

Lady Bird and Shape of Water were both way better screenplays.

 

Fuck Three Billboards. In a year where some actually decent movies got some decent recognition why is that horseshit winning anything?

Awards are dumb.

 

If I get that old, please don’t wheel me out in front of millions of people and ask me to speak. Oh, and didn’t Kirk get accused of rape??? A weird year to put him up there.

 

Three Billboards dialogue was written by someone who has never heard or had a conversation with another human, but sure.

it also was wildly racist

 

I don't understand how the screenplays for arguably the best coming-of-age film of the last decade and a film that made a romance between a mute and the Creature from the Black Lagoon believable were beaten by anything but each other.

 

I liked Three Billboards when I saw it. But the more I think about it after weeks after seeing it, the more I dislike it.

 

Who is drunker: me or the people at Golden Globes?
