Atlanta winning not only in general, but in a category that stacked, is really, really awesome.
Can't wait for another Sarah Paulson acceptance speech.
Two shows with "American Crime" in the title. Two shows with "The Night" in the title.
I hate how out-of-order these categories are. They announce best series winners before all of the actor categories.
Yeah this is the most disorganized show I've ever seen. They usually aren't done out of order like this, even at the Globes.
I feel like they've been like this for the past several years. At least with the Emmys, they start with Comedy, then Limited Series, then Drama, and the last three are Best Series in each genre.
Yeah I don't know, could be wrong. I just feel like I would've remembered thinking this about the show before and I don't. Like it feels really noticeable this year.
Maybe it's to keep people on their toes? I feel like if they did all of the big categories at the end, it might not result in consistent ratings across the entire night. Definitely agree that the big stuff should be save for last though.
The Leftovers has been nominated for shit. Another huge snub!
lol Hugh Laurie. Go home HFPA, you're drunk.
Oh man, Dr. House droppin the sick burns
I actually haven't watched that at all yet but I'm planning to at some point.
Who let the fucking Modern Family writers into the writing room. Ugh.
Really got hooked after the third episode. My favorite show currently on air!
no surprise there
Jimmy Fallon is so bad.
"more from jimmy when we get back"
Aw no love for Moana
Is it just me or did it sound like a threat when the announce said "Plus, more from Jimmy when we return."
Is it just me, or anyone find it weird that the weakest song in La La Land just won?
Like, it's good, but there are SO many better choices for that slot (Another Day of Sun, Someone in the Crowd, Audition (The Fools Who Dream)
If you kids don't behave, we're bringing Jimmy back to the stage!
I love Moana. And that song. Leave it to Lin-Manuel Miranda to write the one of the best Disney songs of the last several years.
Surprised that City of Stars was nominated from La La Land and not Audition.
For an awards show like this, that's the song the studio submitted for consideration
Edit: I could be wrong. Chances are they submitted several songs
