At least before you could count on Ricky Gervais to say some funny things. Having to watch Jimmy Fallon seems too unbearable.

Every year comedy has such a hard time gaining any critical or awards attention, and the Golden Globes have a specific category for it, and decided that one of the best examples of comedic cinema this year was Deadpool.
still better than The Tourist but yeah it would be nice if there was an award for stuff like Maggie's Plan or The Meddler
I know it's all marketing and campaigning to get films awards so ultimately I don't care what wins or anything, but to see Deadpool with Golden Globe nominations when this year also had Swiss Army Man, Popstar, Maggie's Plan, Everybody Wants Some!!, the Nice Guys, Hail, Caesar!, Bad Moms, Hello My Name is Doris, the Edge of Seventeen, Neighbors 2, and Don't Think Twice, it's ridiculous.
Neighbors 2 was a pleasant surprise. And The Nice Guys, Everybody Wants Some!!, and Hail, Caesar! all deserve more attention than they're getting by literally everyone, not just awards bodies. Three great comedies.

I know the movie awards are more important, but the TV awards are always way more fun for me because they REALLY don't matter haha.
I always feel like the television awards are way more unpredictable, even at the Golden Globes. Sometimes unpredictable in a good way, sometimes not.
They also said Transgender instead of Transparent. These people are getting paid to do this...it's really not that hard to get the names right.
I haven't seen many of the shows/movies nominated year. The only thing I'm pulling hard for is Evan Rachel Wood winning for Westworld because she absolutely killed it.
Hell or High Water was referred to as a car chase, cops and robbers movie before asking Chris Pine if he knew what he'd be doing in Wonder Woman yet so accuracy and analysis are not something to look for on a preshow.
