Updated version of his debut album. Pre-Orders up at Born Loser and his band camp: ANTHONY GREEN Tour later this summer: VIP on sale on his web-site: So Long Avalon Tour VIP Upgrades
Avalon is one of my all-time favorite records, so I'm very interested in this. Haven't spun the updated singles yet.
"Excited to announce 'So Long, Avalon' a re-imagined version of my first album produced and mixed by Keith Goodwin. Coming back to Avalon with Keith felt really natural — like we were finishing a conversation we started long ago. Has anybody ever asked you, if you knew then what you knew now would you do anything differently? With this experiment, I got to actually go back and try things I wouldn’t have thought to do 20 years ago. After years of exploring these songs together structurally, we wanted to capture the life that these songs took on when we played them live in their various states. Couldn't have done it without Keith, the most incredible friend and collaborator I could ever ask for. I'm excited for you all to hear it and to play these new versions live for you all on tour this summer."
The real question for me on this is: will Dying to Reach You be the exact same version again like it was previously. Will Devil's Song actually better encapsulate the live feeling of it? The early bootlegs of that song had me so excited and the Avalon version was a big letdown.
Would love to catch him in Pittsburgh, but it's a Tuesday night and I don't want to leave my wife having to get up with the baby overnight.

Love the reworking of "She Loves Me So." "Stonehearted Man," maybe a little less, but still really cool. Been skipping out on a lot of exclusive variants lately in favor of whatever variant I actually like the most.
I don't like this version of She Loves Me So, but Stone-hearted Man is sick. I really want to hear Dying to Reach because that's by far my favorite song on the album
I feel like I’ve mostly heard positive things from people talking about the original, and I mean I love the original. But it always felt like a half-baked masterpiece to me (if that makes any sense). I think the songs are real strong, but could’ve been pushed a little more. I really like these first two from the re-recording. Really wanna hear Dear Child and Devil’s Song. The latter in particular I think can and should go fucking crazy.
Can't believe how much I love everything about it so far, the versions are fantastic, had chills! And the artwork's cool
There's so many projects that it's easy to forget, but I assume I am not the only person who forgot about the project And There With Them Was Love from a few years ago. Only 3 songs released, and it looks like they are all removed from the internet. I have the files still, listening again now. Very interesting stuff, would have been curious to see where this path went, although there are certainly elements of this style in some of the solo remixes and Doom Spun stuff
Yeah for sure, here's all 3. They came out a the end of 2020, so he was making these in deep covid Box more info: Anthony Green Releases Two Singles With New Project ”And There With Them Was Love”
