The Naked Gun (also known as The Naked Gun 4+1⁄4: Law of Toughness) is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by Dan Gregor, Schaffer, and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane produced the film alongside Erica Huggins. Serving as the fourth film in The Naked Gun franchise, the film stars Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr., alongside Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Rhodes, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes.

The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 1, 2025, by Paramount Pictures.

I read that showed a full scene from the film at CinemaCon and it went down an absolute storm but yeah I sent the teaser to a few people who don't really pay attention to movie news etc and they said they were hysterics and definitely gonna watch The Naked Gun on opening weekend!

Akiva has Popstar and Hot Rod in his arsenal, which are two of the funniest front to back movies of the last two decades. I believe deeply in this movie.

 

I thought Chip n Dale was very funny too. He's the right man for the job

this just came up on my recs on youtube, i had no idea back in 2018 they were looking to do a naked gun 4

 

They were trying to do a Naked Gun 4 for years. Back when Leslie Nielsen was around it was going to be done as a TV pilot or possibly even a theatrical release, with him "passing the torch" to a new generation, but he backed out (along with the writer) when the studio tried to cut his part down to a cameo.

Keev doesn't miss, and I think his comic style will fit with the broad farce of a Naked Gun movie perfectly.
