Sing Sing (Greg Kwedar, 2024)

I hope this is on streaming soon because I completely missed this when it was in theaters, but it looks like A24 hasn’t promoted this movie as much as they could have or made any mention of streaming yet (from what I have read so far)

 

I think it’s gonna get re-released when Oscar noms come out.

 

It's really great and I feel like no one has heard about it.

 

Give Best Actor to Colman Domingo.

Did not ever think to search for a thread for this - saw it twice last summer, both times in theaters, which is a rarity for me. Was my second favorite film of the year behind Dìdi. Not usually one to get upset by Oscar stuff but no best picture nom is an insult! Feels like marketing really dropped the ball, which a lame thing to matter for a picture of this caliber

 

I don't think it ever has a UK cinema release... If it did then it was very limited

 

Oh A24 really dropped the ball big time on this, they had something really special and messed up campaign and marketing wise

 

Colman at least deserves to win

 

After seeing this, I honestly thought it could win Best Picture, so I was also very surprised this morning.

 

This was fantastic. The audition scene is my favorite scene of 2024.

 

I legitimately thought he he might get a supporting nod as well

 

He 100% should have
