A covert CIA agent is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station; when the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. "The Agency is an American espionage thriller television series from Paramount+ with Showtime produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov and starring Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Richard Gere. The series premiered on November 29, 2024, and is based on the critically acclaimed French series Le Bureau des Légendes, created by Éric Rochant, that aired on Canal+ from 2015 to 2020."
Watched S1 of the Bureau like a month ago (on S4 now) so it’s a little jarring to see the same exact plot beats and even dialogue play out in this, but there are enough tweaks that it still feels fresh enough. Really good show so far
Wow that ending was tense as hell. I know it's about to get crazy now that the pieces starting to make sense.
The Iran plotline in the original series was probably my favorite from that show, so curious to see how they portray it for this one. Wonder where they'll film it too. I remember that "Tehran" show was filmed in Athens I believe, as the architecture wasn't too far off from what is found in Iran/Tehran.
This is good but so close to the original I might give up on it. Feels like I’m just doing a rewatch.
Didn’t the Iran plotline in the original not come until like season 3 or 4? I guess doing it right away might free up room for other plots in further seasons. Plus, curious if they spend more effort incorporating Ukraine into the story
Great episode. I feel the walls closing in! Damn u think they caught him slipping on that police report.
Noooo it's over. Fantastic season. Very glad that operation went off as successful as it did, I was tense but those guys knew what they were doing. Still super tense, hell the entire season was extremely tense lol.
Was wondering what situation Martian got it to bed beaten up like he was shown in all those interview scenes; thought it would have been from a fight he had, no a motorcycle accident, haha. The Ukrainian shooting the high ranking Moscow official was dope, then seeing the other two grenade the helicopter was great, and then seeing the final operation go off as a success was awesome. It was also great seeing Danny's facial response finally realizing she was in Tehran, seemingly free to go forward; can't imagine the enormity of the task ahead in her mind at that point, haha. Don't remember Guillaume in The Bureau ever being in a situation of becoming a double agent, so will be very interesting to see how this plays out in season 2. Overall quite enjoyed this season. It dipped in the middle for a while, but the last few episodes redeemed it. Happy we already have a season 2 confirmed.
Yeah I was like .....oh lol a motorcycle accident? That's it?? Yeah the whole Ukranian/Russian sequence was badass. They pulled off the fence so slick I was like aww shit, and then they so calmly walked away. Then the ambush, I was like whew. I think the only low points for me have been the slower moments, such as Martians obsession with Samia and Danny's school subplot. But I assume the boring stuff with Danny is over now that she's in tehran and has to really play the part so her situation will be as tense next season. Fassbender was great all season!
I wonder where they'll film the Tehran storyline as well (looks like they used London City airport for Danny's arrival at Tehran's "airport"); I know the Apple show "Tehran" was filmed in Athens, as a lot of the architecture there is similar to that found in Tehran itself, so I assume we'll probably see the same. Looking it up now, the original series "The Bureau" used Beirut in Lebanon for their Iran storyline, but with how unstable things are there right now, we'll see.
Yeah I was wondering where they filmed the airport at. Is that apple show any good? I've seen a thumbnail in passing but never actually checked it out.
