I don't think I am based on what we've heard so far which is sad to say. I'll still give it a listen but what a disappointing turn his career has taken for almost 10 years now.
I'm a massive Frank fan and even have a 'We Are What We Believe' tattoo, but the best way I can describe these new songs is a parody of white man with a guitar. He's always been a white dude with a guitar, but these new songs feel hackneyed and tired. And I enjoyed FTHC!
I’m here, but not willingly lol At a point a decade + ago I was putting Frank in the same tier as Brian Fallon and he was truly one of my favorites. I’ll always give his new music a shot but … ugh it’s so sad how much I just don’t enjoy his new music anymore.
Listened to Do One and it feels like this album will be fairly comparable to FTHC where it’s musically fun and high energy and lyrically it’s distractingly just way too on the nose. I want to like his new music again, but it’s hard lol
I get whiplash reading these lyrics and then going back and reading something like Get Better where it shares similar sentiments.
Saw your comment and just went and put Get Better on and god dammit this song really did it for me … NINE years ago??? Jesus how
My god this song is so bad. Not been a fan of him musically or as a person for a while but holy fuuuuck he fell off hard
These song titles and the 2 songs we've heard thus far definitely remind me of Be More Kind (the album). In a big way.
I think he thinks he's cuter/funnier than his fans think he is with these current lyrics. Very "Make America Great Again" energy
I didn't notice earlier but Pandemic PTSD is a really fucking tasteless name for a song, dear god what are you DOING Francis
I'm not going to complain too much, I'm glad he's still making music and I will ALWAYS enjoy an FT concert. I'm sure this thing will have some good songs on it too.
Yeah not a fan of the verses on this one but the chorus has been bouncing round in my head since he toured Aus late last year so he's doing something right
He recorded a German version of Do One with Ingo from the Donots. The translation is a bit forced, I prefer the English version.
New song is very by-the-numbers, inoffensive stuff for Frank. It's ok but doesn't grab me. I can't say I'm hyped for the new album.
