I just discovered this and it’s really interesting. I guess it’s like an industrial LCD Soundsystem? The album’s their debut and it’s getting awesome reviews. Check it out.

Randomly found this on Bandcamp and decided to check it out. Holy shit. As soon as the first song kicked in, I was hooked.

Fromtloaded pretty hard, but a very fun debut. Slower songs aren't up to much but the bangers bang.

  7. one of the best records I've heard this year, it really does bring dance punk and post-punk together in such a unique way. An industrial LCD Soundsystem is a great description

I'd call it dance-rock. Basically they nicked Battles' sound design and are using it to make 4/4 body music. (This is not a complaint)

Funny that there's also a new Xiu Xiu out this month because the vox sound very much like Jamie Stewart with the edges sanded off.

I got a lot of Xiu Xiu and a little Daughters from this. maybe some NIN here and there

I'd be interested to know what their influences are

It's funny that there are so few male-fronted rock acts openly singing about fucking (though it's more explicit on the early stuff I scanned through) that these guys now have a whole lane more or less to themselves.

Gilla Band was a little more my thing but it’s badass to have great music like this again, I really like this record.
